We receive many questions about PFAS. Here, we share some of our thoughts:


⛔PFAS currently receives a lot of focus in water treatment, which is understandable given that these chemicals are persistent and harmful to health. However, by placing a major focus on PFAS, we risk overlooking many other substances in our water. Up to 99% of harmful effects may come from substances that we do not even measure with traditional chemical analysis, including so-called cocktail effects where multiple substances interact and create new mixtures.

👉 We can measure the combined effect of both known and unknown substances, providing a more complete picture of how pollutants could affect both the environment and human health, and helping us make better investments in treatment technologies.
